good morning austin!

sharon and i performed on fox tv in austin this morning.

i stomped my foot wearing boots i bought in santa fe, on a table top my neighbor back in ardmore pennsylvania found in the trash, playing a guitar i got from a guy in oklahoma.

i got yer united states right here, tough guy.

tonight we play the paramount with jonny lang. on the billboard out front it says "joan baez".

maybe she played there last night.

hmmm.

it is 10am and i am going back to sleep since we had to get up at 6am.

goodnight...er....day.

sixty five degrees

the pregnant bartender laughed at something someone said last night here in west monroe louisiana and i knew we had to get an early start today to get to austin before dark.

animal planet is on tv and the room smells like a fresh shower.

you never realize just how much you needed a shower until just before you get in.

then you're like "oh yeah, man...i really need this shower. no question about it".

how wonderful the feeling when you get out of the shower. you are the cleanest person in the world.

it's sixty five degrees.

Twas not too long ago you broke my heart in two. Those were the lyrics little anthony of little anthony and the imperials sang back in the 1950's. It is my favorite song of that decade and lucky me, I got to meet little anthony and tell him so at the rock and roll hall of fame in cleveland last night. Shortly after that sharon and I and our friend tom laskas headed up to the house of blues where we played in front of a jam packed house of blues, opening for jonny lang. Young mister lang is as nice as he is fierce as a guita player. We ae on our way to connecticut now to open another show and another tomorrow night in virginia beach. Though we are opening there are a whole lot of sharon little fans out there. The new songs sound great and feel amazing. Right now we are listening to one of my fave bandsn the cardigans. Go online and check out "disconnect" by them. Tell me what you think. It melts my heart when I hear it. Speaking of, happy valentines day!

Where Is All This Going?

The millions of words typed every day.

The songs written and recorded.

The photographs.

In the last few years especially the world has engaged in countless (and I mean countless) website launchings, bloggings (like this one here) commenting and so on. Millions of pages are flying around in nowhereland aka the internet. Where do the pages and words go when the creater dies? Whoever made the ieathotdogsandwatchtv.com site eventually will die. But his page will live on. 

It is a vacuum, a black hole, an endless pit, a bottomless cup, a forever galaxy flying in eternity of our words and thoughts.

How bout the pictures? Where once we took 12 shots, developed them, lost the negatives and maybe kept one or two that dangled in a photo book, we now take millions and have them all either in our 3 hard drives or online on our websites.

This generation needs attention. A lot.

We have all the attention we need and yet each day we ask for more. Then even more the day after next. It's an out of control fire. A blaze. 

Somebody get a hose!

elvis and britney and john and ringo and bruce and...

i don't like when people bust on singers or artists out there. is britney spears as talented as john lennon? no, but she's not saying she is. she's an entertainer. when the beatles were new the parents said "it sounds like noise". lotsa people think elvis is a joke. they called the beatles mop tops and nothing more. ringo can't drum. really? no? he's not that good? hmmm....he was good enough for john lennon and paul mccartney! yeah, i guess you're right, he sucked. lol. YOU try it!

bruce can't sing? bob dylan can't sing? really? listen to lay lady lay. listen to tangled up in blue.
"music today sucks". they say that sentence every generation.

i love all of the folks above. i love dylan, i like some of those britney songs. she didn't write'm folks, they're written by some great writers. i like yoko ono. john loved her. if you hate her, then how much did u really love john?

i hate hate. i really do. ya better love this life buddy, it's all we got.
"bruce sucks". no he doesn't. you suck for sitting around saying this sucks and that sucks.

i am opposed to SAME SEX marriage!

I think couples should have all kinds of sex! switch it up, try different things! why should we have the SAME SEX every night!!
